Itinerary

• Day 01+02
• Depart on your overnight international flight to Europe. Connect with your overnight flight to Addis Ababa.

• Day 03
• Arrive Addis Ababa in the morning. You will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon meet your guide and spend time touring the amazing sights of this vibrant city and its surrounds. Overnight Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.

• Day 04+05
• This morning you fly schedule to Bahir Dar, arriving at the Kuriftu Lodge on Lake Tana in time for lunch. Visit the Zeghie Peninsula, and Blue Nile Falls. 2 nights accomodation at Kuriftu Resort and Spa.

• Day 06
• Depart this morning by vehicle and drive to Gondar. On arrival, check into the Goha Hotel, and start your city tour after lunch. Overnight Goha Hotel.

• Day 07
• Depart early this morning as you drive to the Simien Mountains National Park. With your guide, set off north to Debark, a distance of about 62 miles, heading up through clouds and mist. In Debark we pay the park entrance fees and pick up the game scout. In the Simiens you can see the endemic Gelada or bleeding heart baboon, the Walia Ibex, the Simien wolf (the rarest canid in the world) and rock hyrax, and endemic birds such as the thick billed raven, black headed siskin, white collared pigeon, wattled ibis, white billed starling, spot breasted plover and white backed black tit. • Day 08+09
• Fly to Lalibea. Enjoy an afternoon city tour. On your second day, after breakfast, you set off on mule or on foot to the church of Ashetun Mariam, about a 4 hours' round trip. An alternative to the Ashetun Mariam trip, or if visitors are not afraid of a full day it can be done in the afternoon in addition to Ashetun Mariam, is the cave church of Yemrehane Christos. 2 nights Jerusalem Guest House.

• Day 10+11
• Fly to Axum. Enjoy an afternoon city tour. On your second day, after breakfast, you set off to Yeah, Ethiopia's first city. 2 nights at the Yeha-Remhai Hotel.

• Day 12
• After a full morning visiting the churches and lunch at the guest house, you fly back to Addis arriving late afternoon and are met and transferred back to the hotel. Overnight Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.

• Travel back to USA.
